The 2025 Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday, July 26 at 10am at the Clar-Mill Hall, 6598 Buckshot Lake Rd., Plevna. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to sign in. Note that the hall has air conditioning, washrooms, and that drinks and snacks will be available. Information concerning the meeting was sent by email to members on July 10, so if you did not receive this, please contact one of the executive members to be added to the distribution list.

The Kids' Fishing Derby will not be held this year. If you are interested in organizing the Derby in 2026, contact Donna or anyone on the BLEEGA executive team for more info.

FOCA (Federation of Ontario Cottagers' Associations) represents 50,000 waterfront owning member families in more than 520 lake and road associations.

FOCA provides a free Legal Helpline for Associations. BGLEECA can call them when someone has a legal question or is facing in issue involving rights and reaponsibilities. As a FOCA member and policy holder BGLEECA can speak to a lawyer to ask questions.

This is always a good reminder. Please take the time to learn about Watching your Wake, from the 'Safe Quiet Lakes' initiative at FOCA. Remember the legal speed limit for all motor boats is 10 km/h within 30 metres of any shore.

Asian Longhorned Beetles have reached Big Gull Lake! The Asian Longhorned Beetle is an invasive species that poses a significant threat to deciduous forests. Feel free to eliminate any you find. Report a sighting on Ontario’s Invading Species website.
